Spring is in full bloom! What better way to celebrate the lovely flowers and warm weather than to decorate your space with spring vibes? Remember all those paper flowers we made in my last post? Now we're going to use them to make this darling floral monogram that will give any room a nice pop of spring color! Keep scrolling for the full tutorial!
Materials
Cardboard | Tissue Paper Flowers | Acrylic paint | Scissors/Exacto knife | Glue
Choose the letter you want to use and cut it out of the cardboard. I used Microsoft Word to make a giant letter "A" that filled a sheet of printer paper, printed it, cut it out, then traced it onto the cardboard. My monogram ended up measuring around 13"x 11".
Next, use acrylic paint to paint a base color on the cardboard. I chose a white base because it helps enhance the colors of the flowers and fills in the spaces between the flowers so any gaps aren't noticeable.
Now take your paper flowers and glue them to the cardboard.

I went for a pretty pink ombre pattern to match my bedroom. I don't have any wall space for my monogram yet so it's been sitting on my desk. But I think it looks rather lovely with my sensitive plant and my new DIY tassel wall hanging I crafted last weekend!
If you want to make the wall hanging for yourself, I used this tutorial. It's a really simple project- it took me about two and a half hours to make and it's an absolutely stunning accent piece. Needless to say, I'm obsessed!
